Course: God's Unchanging Plan
Instructor: Don Sharpe
Meeting: Wednesdays, July 7th - August 4th, 8:30 - 9:45 PM
Description: In reading our Bibles we can be tempted to think of the Old Testament and New Testament almost as two separate books where we struggle to grasp how the two fit together. In actuality, the Bible is one cohesive book from Genesis to Revelation that tells the story of God's unfolding plan of redemption throughout history. This course is intended to increase your understanding and appreciation of the whole Bible as we walk through the major storyline that unfolds throughout the pages of scripture and look at how each major segment of the scriptures fits into that story. Description: Do you ever wonder why the pastors of Grace Community talk so much about the gospel? Most of us know that it's the gospel that saves us and brings us into a relationship with God. But what does the gospel have to do with my daily Christian life? Everything! This class is about what it means to live in the joy and good of the gospel in our everyday lives. We will seek to answer question like... What does it mean to be established in the gospel? How do I apply the gospel in my daily life? What does it mean to preach the gospel to yourself every day and how do I do that? Find out why the gospel is the most important thing to our lives both before and after we become Christians. Required text: None.

Course: The Love of God: No/Know Greater Love!
Instructor: Matt Smith
Meeting: Thursdays, July 8th - August 5th (no class July 22nd), 8:30 - 9:45 PM
Description: Comprehending the love of God seems rather basic and elementary to most people. After all, most of us have grown up being taught that God is love from the time we were very young. In fact, the overwhelming majority of those who believe in God believe that He is a loving being. It seems today that the only aspect of God's character that people are quick to affirm or assume is God's love. But that is not the only picture we see in the Bible. How do we reconcile the love of God with God's holiness, His sovereignty, or His wrath? Is it possible that the love of God has been distorted in our understanding so that we no longer know what it means to be loved by God biblically? Is it possible that we have trivialized the love of God and no longer are gripped by such a wonder? The Apostle Paul provides for us in Ephesians 3:19 the ultimate goal of this class: "and to KNOW the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God". Sign up now and get ready to explore "The Love of God: NO/KNOW Greater love!" Required text: None

This new class is specifically geared for students in middle school and high school who want real answers to the question: "How can I know for sure that Christianity is true?" This class will help our youth both explore and discover for themselves "rock solid" answers to specific questions like: What is truth? Can't all religions be right? How do I know the Bible is really trustworthy? Did Jesus really rise from the dead? Parents, encourage your students to sign up for this important class and know you are welcome to take the class with them. Required text: None
