Our next Alpha Celebration Dinner is Wednesday, January 13th from 6:45 - 9:15 PM. This dinner will introduce you to Alpha, a free course designed to help you explore the Christian faith (high school age and up). Great for those who want to grow in their Christian life. The monthly prayer meeting has been re-scheduled from Friday, February 5th to the following Friday, Februrary 12th from 7:00-9:00pm (due to pending storm).
Community Shred has been rescheduled for February 27th!
Hi Everyone,
I hope you are enjoying the snow and keeping safe through this time as well. In view of the weather conditions we are canceling the Sunday Service and all activities scheduled for this weekend. Since we will not be meeting together as a church family I would encourage you to take some time on Sunday morning to gather together as families and/or households and have a modified version of church in your home. Here are some thoughts on doing this and some resources that may be helpful to you. More...

Today is the first Sunday of the month and we will take our monthly Advancing the Mission Fund collection. Thank you for your generosity.

Youth Advance is a 3 day God-Intoxicated, Bible-Soaked, Cross-Centered conference for students in middle school and high school and their parents. YA10 is about youth, parents, & youth leaders coming together to encounter & exalt Jesus Christ through worship in song with the youth advance band, life changing teaching from God's Word, powerful ministry times, & rich Biblical fellowship with one another. We also have plenty of time to glorify God by having some serious fun: basketball, volleyball, football, ropes course, indoor rock climbing, fully loaded game room, snack shop, outrageous games, giveaways, hanging out with friends-you get the idea! [Be prepared to be exhausted.] Last day to register & all balances due on Tuesday, February 16th, 2010. Youth Advance Online Registration!
Thursday, January 18th at 7:00 PM! All high school and middle school students and their parents are invited to participate in Cross Current Unplugged. Our night will include a time for worship, teaching, and participation in community groups. Invite your friends! Parents: remember we will be meeting in the "parent room" (the balcony) for coffee, teaching & discussion while your sons/daughters are meeting in their community groups. We will be talking about the common assumptions that we as parents often make regarding our teens. Please make these times a priority!
The Holy Spirit Retreat... What a vital topic to our Christian lives! Because of its importance in the life of our church, we invite all adults (high schoolers can also come) who have not already attended an Alpha Retreat to join us on a 24 hour retreat to learn about the Person and ministry of the Holy Spirit. We stay in dorms at Camp Wo-Me-To (30minutes from the church) on February 19th at 6:30 PM - February 20th at 5:00 PM. This has always been an encouraging, building, and fun time! Our prayer meetings are held on the first Saturday of every month for two hours from 7:00pm to 9:00pm in the Prayer Room. There will be a short teaching on prayer, a time for open prayer, and a time praying for next month's ministry events. We will also be praying for Youth Advance. Co-op resumes... February 25th
We are asking the Grace Community Church family to join with us on Thursday, February 25th for a day of prayer and fasting (health permitting). We will be fasting from 8:00 AM until 8:00 AM the following day as we seek God together for His provision for our church facility needs and for him to use us as a church to see the gospel go forth. Please see the 'Mission Prayer Requests' flyer for specific prayer requests and the 'Fasting Guidelines' flyer for information on fasting in today's bulletin (or you can click here for a list of requests).
Community Shred... Do you have confidential documents that need to be shredded? On Saturday, February 27th, from 11:00AM - 1:00PM we will be having a commercial shredding company here to shred documents. This is a FREE service and is an outreach event. Use the flyer in today's bulletin to invite your neighbors and friends!
This Sunday is Pledge Sunday... Our new pledge year begins Sunday, February 28th. Please continue to seek the Lord this week about how he would want you to participate. Come ready next week to turn in your pledge envelope or come anticipating that the Lord will speak to you during the service. If you are still finishing up last year's pledge, please drop your payment off at the church office this week. Any contributions made on February 28th or after will go towards the 2010 pledge year. The Gathering Place will only include nursery through kindergarten. Elementary age children will be in the service with their families.
