Advancing the Mission FundToday is the first Sunday of the month and we will take our monthly Advancing the Mission Fund collection. Thank you for your generosity. Promotion SundayPromotion Sunday... Sunday, September 5th we will be promoting our kindergarten - 4th grade. Parents of kindergarteners being promoted to 1st grade are reminded that your child(ren) will attend Sunday Morning worship with you, be dismissed to their teachers in the colonnade, and will attend the elementary teaching in the Spurgeon Room, followed by class discussion in their classroom. Our outgoing 5th grade class will join the adult worship service starting that day. If your child is presently in the 4/5-year old class and starting Kindergarten this school year, you will also move your child up. Preschool age children will continue to be promoted on a quarterly basis as they reach their next birthday. Preschool Promotion for this school year will take place on the last Sunday in the months of September and December, 2010, and March, and June, 2011. Friday, September 10Cross Current Kick-Off7:00 pm Middle schoolers, high schoolers, and parents don't miss our Kick-Off event on Friday, September 10th. Everything gets started at 7:00 PM at the church. After the meeting we'll go to the Arena Club (from 9:30 - midnight) where we'll enjoy a massive, heated pool, water slides, sand volleyball, food, music, and more. The cost is just $3! Undivided (the singles ministry of GCC) is planning on launching a campus outreach club beginning September 15th at Towson University. We will be offering an evangelistic Bible study entitled: "Christianity Explained", where students are invited to see for themselves what the Bible really teaches about Christianity. We are currently looking for signatures of current registered students at Towson who would like to sign a petition so we can officially begin this club on the campus.
