The Ministry Challenge
To the seniors of Grace Community Church
The Challenge is . . .
That you preach the gospel to yourself daily, glorifying God and filling yourself with the fullness of God in Christ (Eph 3:19)
That you live out the gospel through biblical fellowship with God's saints, responding to God's Word in scripture:
- Worshiping God together (1 John 1:3, 7)
- Praying for one another (James 5:16)
- Utilizing your spiritual gifts (1 Tim 4:14; 2 Tim 1:6)
- Carrying one another's burdens (Gal 6:2; Job 2:11-13)
- Sharing about your spiritual experiences (1 Tim 4:15)
- Encouraging one another (Heb 3:13; 1 Thess 5:14)
- Confessing one's sins to one another (James 5:16)
- Correcting one another (Gal 6:1) and
- Serving one another in practical ways (Gal 5:13)
That you be an example to the younger saints (Titus 2:1-8)
And
That you glorify God in all you do in your life while living out the gospel.
