As church we are committed to:
PRAYING for the unreached peoples of the world
LEARNING about the unreached peoples of the world
PARTNERING with others to reach the unreached peoples of the world
GIVING financially to send people to reach the unreached peoples of the world
SENDING people from our church to the unreached peoples of the world
We are currently leveraging all opportunities and resources to glorify God by making disciples of all peoples (i.e. people groups/nations) with the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ. It is our joy to pray, give, partner with, train and send men and women into the world.
We partner with the following organizations on the international front:
- Cru (East Asia)
- LightShine (Mexico)
- LightShine (Child Sponsorship)
- Malawai
- Southwest Asia
- Thailand
- Venezuela & Latin America
- Ukraine
- Compassion Internal Child Sponsorships
We desire God's global heart to awaken our heart for all the peoples of the earth especially the unreached (Ps. 67; Ps. 86:9; I Chron.16:24; Rev. 5:9; Rev. 7:9).
Our mission is glorify God by making disciples of peoples with the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ. Jesus said in Matthew 24: 12 “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.”
The phrase 'of all nations' is found throughout Scripture, but what does it actually mean? When Scripture speaks of nations, is it referring to the modern day nations-states that appear on our geo-political maps of the world? The New Testament Greek phrase is "panta ta ethne". The word ethne is very similar to our English word ethnic. So, another way to say this is that the gospel will be preached to all the ethnic peoples or people groups of the world. Ultimately, we see this Biblical reality fulfilled in Revelation 7:9-10. As we take a look at the current status of this task we see that all people are equally lost without Jesus, but all people do not have equal access to the message of saving faith through Jesus.
What is a People Group?
A people group is the largest group through which the Gospel can flow without encountering significant barriers of understanding and acceptance.
There are approximately 11,690 people groups worldwide.
What is an Unreached People Group (UPG)?
An unreached people group is a people group in which less than 2% of the population is Evangelical Christians. Globally there are approximately 6,400 UPGs.
In a "Reached" Context (where there at least some presence of the church) the primary concern for Grace Community Church is to strengthen the existing church.
The primary means to achieve this goal is by sending Short-Term mission teams to serve the church.
We primarily serve with Field Partners to strengthen the Long-Term disciple-making work of the church so the gospel can go forward, disciples can be formed, and the church can continue to multiply in that community and to all nations.
What is an Unreached, Unengaged People Group (UUPG)?
Unengaged unreached people groups have no coordinated evangelical Christian missionary presence among them. Unengaged unreached people groups have never heard the Gospel, or they may have been exposed to the Gospel in the past, but have been forgotten.
There are approximately 3,150 UUPG’s worldwide
In an “Unreached” Context (where there is no existing church) the primary concern for Grace Community Church is to establish the church. The primary means to achieve this goal is by sending Long-Term church planting teams to serve the church. We prioritize serving with Field Partners and sending Mid-Term and Long-Term workers to “unreached” contexts. We want people to go plant their lives among the nations so the gospel can be heard, disciples can be made, and healthy, multiplying churches can be established.
