The Women’s Ministry at Grace Community Church exists to encourage and support ladies – no matter what season or circumstance – as they seek to know and love Jesus and seek to live on mission with Him. We believe this happens best when we are lovingly growing in unity and community with one another.
To know and love Jesus…
Because the Gospel changes everything, the follower of Christ has the great privilege of knowing and loving Jesus! We believe that studying the Bible is the best way for us to do this. The Women’s Ministry offers several studies or classes throughout the year. These studies may be on a book of the Bible or on a relevant topic. They are always soaked with biblical truth. They are also wonderful opportunities to dig into the Bible with other ladies, grow in your relationship with Jesus, and grow deeper in friendship with other ladies. And you don’t have to attend Grace Community to join us. All are welcome!
To live on mission with Him…
Living on mission with Jesus affects all areas of our lives – from the mundane to the exciting. As we grow in our knowledge and love of Jesus, we find that His mission is to make Himself known to all peoples. The Women’s Ministry has this mission in mind in all of our events. Events like our annual Christmas Breakfast, our Spring Tea and meeting together to crochet caps and scarves for the homeless help us to focus on Jesus’ mission. But this is also our focus during our classes and studies as we wrestle through together how to live on mission in the ordinary tasks of life.
The Women’s Ministry at Grace Community Church is a growing ministry that is always looking for better ways to serve the ladies at Grace. If you have ideas or want to get involved with events, please feel free to contact Karen Harris, our womens ministry leader
Upcoming Women's Ministry Events:
Plesia Womens Groups:
Spring/Summer of 2021, in response to our Pray, Care, Give, Share series, we want to continue the conversation with some Plesia groups. Plesia is the Greek word that means "neighbor. " It is where we get the English word "place" and captures the idea of serving in place and being on mission where God has placed you right now. After the last year, so many of us are missing the Biblical community that is such a means of God's grace and kindness to us. The Plesia groups will be an opportunity to gather together in community and learn together how to live out being on mission.
"Gather" Women's Precepts Bible Study:
Ladies, join us each week for this Precepts study on the book of Revelation (Part 3) starting on Friday, March 5 from 10:30AM-12PM. Study ends on May 14. You do not need to have taken part 1 or 2 to participate.
We will meet in the upstairs Spurgeon Room, masks required, and discussion/fellowship afterwards at the outside picnic tables.
It is highly recommended that ladies attending purchase their own workbook. To order the complete workbook for $22.50 (plus s&h), click here. To order the abridged workbook for $17.50 (plus s&h), click here. If you do not wish to purchase a workbook, you can follow along in your bible.
